Demolition and stump grubbing

There was a large amount of progress this week. One thing that’s really noticeable is how much room there is as old fittings get pulled out. A major piece of work was moving the beam in the kitchen up into the roof.

Generally speaking it seems like (with the exception of the Kitchen which goes Monday morning) we’ve now passed a milestone with things starting to be put back together rather than pulled apart. The floor is back down in the bathroom, the fittings and power all roughed in. Once the Kitchen goes, the floor will be relaid and the plasterer is due in one week.

Downside is that we now lose the kitchen and after a gradual transition are now tucked back into temporary arrangements for the next 6 – 8 weeks or so.
