In 2021, at the end of our first year on Matilda, a friend, Viv, suggested I take my blog articles and combine them into a story. So, in January 2022, I started writing. Between travelling and fixing things I'd broken on the boat, I wrote three chapters that I shared with both Karina and Viv, who encouraged me to keep going. Eighteen months later, I'd completed the final draft. With editing and revising it would take another few months to get ready to publish, and here we are!
