In London and little happened

The last week has been a very “ordinary” one.  Nothing bad, just nothing particularly exciting.  The kids have had a good week at school and I went to work.  Karina has started to fill in her time helping out with reading and things at the school which is good fun.Ella scored 10 out of 10 on her spelling test and then declared she didn’t want to bother with them any more because “I can do it now”.  Karina told her that was OK and she didn’t have to learn this week and we’d see how she went.  She pointed out to Ella that she knows what it’s like to get a 10, so it would be interesting to see what it feels like to not do very well.  Ella then declared she’d study hard because “I know you really want me to Mum”.Jasper has been doing really well at school as well, his reading is progressing in leaps and  bounds and his “sight words” are really coming a long.  He got a new set the other day and knew them all first time. The kids have found plenty of things to amuse themselves, Ella is walking up to the corner shop by herself now to buy us milk and things which she enjoys, and they like riding their scooters up and down the street.  I came home one night and she was standing outside in the rain “surfing” on a wobbly paver on the foot path!
