Monty's first outing

Today we handled Monty properly for the first time. He has settled very well into his cage and relocated from being buried under the newspaper to curling up in the log. When he decided to come out this evening we thought it was time to have our first go at snake handling. He was timid, but not snappy and it went very well.

He didn’t want to go to Ella, I think because I was holding him and perhaps he was more used to my scent. He did a big U-turn and headed back up my arm.
