New profile pictures

It doesn’t happen a lot, but every now and again Alex and I have been asked to provide profile pictures for a news article. Much to the annoyance of web editors everywhere, the best we’ve provided have never been good enough because the quality was too low. My last profile pic was a self-shot one with my iPhone and was never suitable for some of those requirements.

In many ways it’s the least of our concerns — but given the people we meet face to face often only know us from our online presence, a decent head and shoulders shot that actually looks like me felt worthwhile.

The wonderful Hannah (http://twitter.com/hannahbabble) was happy to help me out with a portrait photo session last Tuesday and she took some great shots. Here’s a few I’ve cropped to make them square and reduce the size — now I just have to decide which one to use as my avatar!
