Skirt Making

Karina got a new sewing machine for Christmas and the kids have been very excited about it after they were let loose for an afternoon with a spare piece of fabric. I think Ella tried every one of the 50 different stitches. Grandma saw this interest and so when we were in Adelaide un-packing some of Mum and Dad’s stuff from storage, she spied an old kids sewing book which apparently belonged to Tiff so she passed it on to Ella.Ella has been keen to try it out and so last weekend made herself a skirt with some of Karina’s help. Although it’s Karina at the sewing machine here, Ella probably did about 50% by herself and did sew a lot of it.

She has proudly been wearing her new skirt to school and showing it off to her teacher and friends.
