Cairngorms

Saturday morning! We all slept in, cooked a huge breakfast, did some washing of clothes etc. then set off very late!  We headed further into the Cairngorms to the Ski Resort and caught the vernicular railway to the summit. There is well over a metre of snow on the summit

Loch Ness

Casting my mind (and my diary entries) back to Friday the 10/4/08 and continuing our Scottish camper van holiday…As Jasper and I seem to be the only two that actually enjoy the driving, I decided to get up early and get some miles out of the way

Interval...

For want of a better description! Since the last post, which didn’t quite finish our Scotland adventures, we’ve been to France and back now on yet another holiday.  We had another wonderful time and once I complete the Scotland posts, we’ll get on to sharing our adventures

Isle of Skye

Thursday 10th April 2008We set off around 9:30am and drove the 12km up the road to Eilean Donan castle, the most photographed castle in Scotland. We added a couple of pictures ourselves. Here’s our shot of Eilean Donan castle. It’s on a tiny isle about 40 metres

Mountains and more mountains

Wednesday 9th April 2008Plog, Day Three. Woke up this morning and cooked up a big fry up for breakfast while still in my pyjamas. Terrible mistake, I’m in my PJs now as I write this and I can still smell bacon frying! The kids seemed a bit brighter today

Travel, travel and more travel

Monday 7th April 2008 Given that one thing this campervan doesn’t have is a computer and internet, all these blog entries are being composed by hand to type in later. I plan to write daily using pen and paper, a technique I call ‘personal logging’ or ‘plogging’ for short.
