School News

Kids have been accepted into “Fircroft” school, a local school with slightly more students than Alphington (360+) and much less space!  There is no playground, no grass and only a small garden.  The walls are surrounded by high fences and barbed wire. Ahhh, the joy of inner city London.  The

Is this our house??

Despite having the address, we’ve yet to see photos of our new place.  I guess we’ll have to be patient.  Anyway, we think the pictures we linked earlier are wrong after Karina visited the outside yesterday (while checking out the school).  The property was advertised with “Greens” and

Whoops! Check the address

Minor error on my part. The address of new house is 27 Wiseton Rd, not 21!   Have updated the links etc on the blog, but if you have written it down, you might like to just check it.

Working in the city

I’ve been enjoying the walk into the city each morning, the weather is sensational here at the moment.  I took the camera in to share a couple of the sights. This is a view of Big Ben through the London eye — I see this as I walk from Waterloo

Getting a school

Well, we have settled in more now since arriving on Monday. Amazing how quickly it has all happened. The kids are not too fazed by the differences we have experienced, such as:1. Always walking on the right-hand side of the footpath, and standing on the right of escalators2. New
